During the recycling relay race activity, our children were divided into small teams and took turns racing to pick up pieces of pretend trash scattered across the play area. Each child would run to the trash pile, select an item, and quickly decide which recycling bin — paper, plastic, or metal — it belonged to. They then placed the item into the correct bin before running back to tag the next teammate. This fun and energetic game not only encouraged teamwork and physical coordination, but also reinforced their understanding of how to sort waste correctly. By combining movement with learning, the children became more engaged and confident in making environmentally responsible choices.
