"Welcome to Our Poetry Cafe" Fundraising Campaign

“Welcome to our Poetry Cafe” is our chosen “Start Small Dream Big” community outreach project to support the REACH Community Services Society in their E-Flag Day 2021 fundraising campaign. Set up in 1998, REACH is a charitable organisation which offers community programmes and services to reach out to vulnerable families, distressed couples, at-risks youths and lonely seniors.

In our Poetry Cafe, our Nursery, K1 and K2 children learned to appreciate poetry literature written by some famous children’s poets such as Jack Prelutsky, Robert Louis Stevenson, Shel Silverstein, etc. They were also engaged in some meaningful creative experience in poetry writing and learned the value of making a contribution to the community by using their finished poetry work to harness people’s support in making a donation to bless the least, the lost and the lonely beneficiaries serviced by REACH.

Pop! Pop! Popcorn popping in the pot! I wrote a sensory poem on this sweet treat of mine!

Here’s my popcorn poem!

Hot chocolate makes me feel like marshmallow! This is my sensory poem about my favourite drink!

Singapore is a garden city to me. My Haiku poem is about this beautiful sunny island which I love very much!

Have you touched a starfish before? Well, you can read my acrostic poem on this amazing sea creature.

Please read my poem about a BIG and POWERFUL vehicle which I dream to drive when I become a soldier one day!

Look at my illustration on this BIG and POWERFUL vehicle…cool right?

CHILDREN @ WORK

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

We have now come to the end of our REACH E-Flag Day 2021 - Welcome to Our Poetry Cafe fundraising campaign.

We are proud to announce that our children’s poetry work had successfully raised a total of $1,110 from 24 donors.

We would like to thank our supportive parents and all the kind hearted uncles and aunties for supporting our kindergarten’s children in this worthy cause. The success of this community outreach fundraising event is only made possible with your zealous support and kind donations. God bless!
