On 11th May 2025, the spirit of unity and compassion came alive at the SSDB Walkathon 2025, where more than 2,000 enthusiastic participants gathered to walk for a cause and make a difference. The event, organized by Preschool Market Pte. Ltd., brought together children, families, educators, and partners in a powerful show of support for the President’s Challenge.
With the participation of over 50 preschools, the SSDB Walkathon 2025 was a vibrant display of compassion and community spirit. Among them, 10 centres including E-Bridge Pre-School, M.Y World Preschool, and Skool4Kidz Preschool, supported the fundraising efforts through booth sales, offering handmade trinkets and crafts lovingly created by the children. A heartwarming stage dance performance by My First Skool further uplifted the crowd with joy and energy.
The Walkathon also saw strong collaboration with a wide range of partners, such as the Community Chest, Singapore Kindness Movement, Singapore Art Museum, Scentopia, Mount Faber Leisure Group, and Siloso Beach Resort, among many others. Their contributions helped elevate the event experience and engaged the young participants in meaningful learning moments.
Sponsors also played a vital role in making the Walkathon a success. From medical support partner Singapore Red Cross to generous cash and in-kind donations from WS Education, YHS (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Singapore Pools, Trickeye Museum, NTUC Health, Power Pops, Fun’s Florist and Nursery, their contributions ensured the event ran smoothly and left a lasting impact.
The Guest of Honour, Mr Ng How Yue, Permanent Secretary (Development) at the Ministry of Social and Family Development, graced the event. His presence inspired attendees and reinforced the community’s shared vision of kindness and giving.
The SSDB Walkathon 2025 stands as a vibrant celebration of compassion, education, and community spirit, proving once again that even the smallest steps can make a big difference.
