'Thank you for your care! ❤'

The children were excited to show their gratitude towards the zookeepers.  Our K1 students decided to get their parents involved with the project and talk about it after we shared some photos of the activities done in class.  They came up with various ideas and agreed on making a ‘thank you’ banner since they could not go to the zoo to thank the zookeepers personally.  We chose the caption ‘Thank you for your care ❤ ‘ for the banner.  Each child brought back a letter for them to decorate with their parents using different types of art medium.

After the animal hunt activity, the nursery children were inspired to create their own animal mask that they can use during pretend play in class. They came out with the various zoo animals that they wish to make, for example, lion, orang utan, penguin and bear. They colored the mask templates provided by the teacher.

Once the Parental Involvement and Animal Mask Projects are completed, we assembled them to make a large banner for the zookeepers. The photo of the banner will be sent to Wildlife Reserves Singapore via email, as requested by them due to the current situation. The children were happy to see the end product, as a result of their teamwork.
