Star Learners Woodlands 11 - Experiential Learning Journey to Woodlands TBI

In light of our kindness onboard theme, we brought the children on an experiential learning journey to Woodlands Temporary Bus Interchange.

  • On the first visit, the children brought along their ezlink cards to school and the teachers brought them to the bus interchange via public transport. The children got to have an opportunity to tap their cards and eagerly spotted and pointed out the various signs they saw. They gave flowers to several bus captains and passenger service officers, expressing their thanks for their hard work.
  • On the second visit, the children got an opportunity to be given a tour of the interchange by one of the staff members. The staff member explained the specialities that were found at the interchange, such as the interactive panel and the buggy services. Not only that, the children got a chance to meet the famous ‘Smiley SMRT bus captain’, Uncle Krishnanraw. With a bus parked at the side of the interchange for the children to explore, Uncle Krishnanraw welcomed the children warmly and explained the different signs/functions of the bus to the children.

The children had such an enjoyable experience at the bus interchange and the teachers would like to thank SMRT for making this possible for the children!
