For the first project of #RegardlessofRace, our K1’s and K2’s children in our centre embarked on the Malay culture activities. They were given a ‘Wau Bulan’ kit as a home-school project since it was during the Phase 2(Heightened Alert). They were encouraged to design their own Wau Bulan also known as the Malay Kite at the comfort of their own home with parents guidance.
Besides that, children also engaged in a Dikir Barat performance in school with the help from our Cikgu. They learnt the Wau Bulan song before performing the Dikir Barat in front of the class. Through this activites, children managed to learnt parts of Malay culture by engaging in the craft works and performing the song for all of us!
