Sharing Similarities, Celebrating Differences!
The teachers and children had their DSA awareness event on last Friday, 10 June 2022, with wearing funky, colourful and even mismatched socks to school!
The significance of wearing funky and mismatched socks is to send support & positive messages, and to spread awareness about Down Syndrome as socks look like chromosomes, and our friends with Down Syndrome have an extra chromosome!
The children had a story telling session with a story titled Katie Can! It is a little girl who has Down Syndrome and she does not let her difference affect her life.
