There are alot of environmental issues faced by people around the world. The Nursery 2 children focuses on the 3Rs known as Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. As they embarked on the journey to learn more about the 3Rs, they were exposed to the different types of recycled materials. They even brought recycled materials from home to drop it inside the DIY N2 recycling bin!
Apart from making crafts using recycled materials, the Nursery 2 children were given opportunities to demonstrate sustainability in class during simple task such as hand-washing by reducing water consumption.
To add on, one of the activities that they enjoyed the most is called “Tin Can Stacking Game” which requires them to stack all the tin cans into the highest tower. This activity enables them to enhance their eye-hand coordination as well as concentration skills. Besides that, it allows room for them to build on their sportsmanship by not giving up when it gets tough. It was a heartwarming sight to see the Nursery 2 children cheering for each other during the game!
