“People in love never fight. They just live happily ever after.” is a common myth many people believe in. This may be true if two people were 100% alike, however, we are all different from each other. With that being said, ‘happily ever after’ might just become a reality if we all learned to love the people we care about the way they want to be loved. Confusing? Maybe. That’s why this SSDB 2022, Agape Little Uni @ SK embarked on a journey to educate the families in our center all about LOVE.
FAMILY, where Life Begins, and LOVE never ends. That’s the title we named our project as we found it fitting for what we were about to do. To kickstart our project, we came up with a fundraising Zoom workshop for the President’s Challenge. Families in our center were encouraged to sign up and participate in our workshop where we shared contents on Family Love, and We See, We Hear, We Care, encouraging children and their family members to extend their care towards people in the community. This was done through scenario based sharing, for instance, asking children and parents, “How would you show care when you see someone a family member coming home with bags of groceries, how can you show care?” Teachers, children and parents worked hand in hand, with love at the center, to make our workshop a successful and fruitful one!
We would like to sincerely thank our supportive and ever so generous parents for contributing to this workshop not only with their donations, but also for their time and participation. It brought us immense joy to be able to witness the family bonding they got to have during the workshop. We look forward to our next SSDB mission!
