With the theme of, “Caring For Our Environment”, PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ MacPherson Blk 54 launches Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) for the year 2023. The said launching was held on 20 April.
This is the first time the centre embarks on SSDB project across level from Playgroup to K2.
Therefore, the children showed excitement as they gathered and saw their friends from other classes during the event.
The children learned about the environmental challenges we have all been facing, and they shared about what we could to do to help our Mother Earth. Older children were enthusiastic to participate in the discussion from throwing our trash into the bins and recycling at home.
To start this project, the parents were also informed about this intiative, as they will be encouraged to get involved in the upcoming activities.
One part of the program was children dancing along to English and Chinese songs related to environment.
The children were also actively listening to English and Chinese stories.
The children took part in making a craft using recyclable materials as well.
Younger children showed their energy and played a sorting game using recyclable materials, blue bin and green bin.
The launching was indeed a success. Teachers and children are excited for this project in raising awareness and helping our environment.
