Project Good Sam @ PCS Tampines (Part 2)

In collaboration with the children’s families and friends, our Craft Fair and donation drive was a success! Through the “Sponsor-a-Meal” campaign, we were able to raise funds and met the targeted amount that our centre aimed to raise. These donations were given to the frail and homebound elderly in Dorcas Home Care Services for their meals. We managed to raise 100 meal packs for them.

Raising awareness of the value of giving and kindness, the children’s families donated essential items for the elderly which are useful especially during these times of pandemic. The items include food and snacks and various hygiene kits that are needed for everyday use. These are for the elderly at Evergreen Circle SAC. We raised a total of 52 gift packs.

Before sending off the gift items, the children were invited to write letters and express words of encouragement and care to the elderly.

Among the 52 children including the teachers who have given their support and participated, here are their reflections at the end of this project.
