This year Posso Preschool @ West Coast Rise embarked on a SSDB project titled “My Neighbours, My Friends”. Through this project, we hope to rekindle the kampong spirit in our neighbourhood. We started a campaign in school to spread love in our neighbourhood. Through assembly talks, pledge cards and many engaging activities, children learnt how people in the past used to support and care for one another.
As little ambassadors of the campaign “My Neighbours, My Friends”, children visited the neighbours during the launch party and spread this message of love to the neighbours and showed their appreciation by making them cookies and cards. Through this event, children got to know their neighbours better and we hope to continue our good rapport with the neighbours and build closer bonds with them. With a small campaign and a big dream in mind, we hope to spread this kampong spirit beyond our neighbourhood.
