Part 2: Little Legends on Being Responsible Pet Owners

Now that our Little Legends have gained more understanding on Pet Adoption and Being Responsible Pet Owner, they were engaged in an “Animal Shelter Pretend Play”. They had the chance to visit the Animal Shelter set-up and looked for a pet which they would like to adopt and take care. Prior to adopting, they were required to fill out a Pet Adoption form to see whether they are fit to become Pet Parents!

The children showed their care and love to the animal soft toys as they demonstrate the responsibilities that they will do once they adopted a real pet.

Our Little Legends summed up their learning about Pet Adoption and Being a Responsible Pet Owners through a “Silly Poem”.

Each of them contributed a sentence, combined, and arranged it in order to make it into a poem! Look how creative the poem they created was! 😊

They also made sure to take the chance to decorate their work by making a representation of each sentence through drawing.

Apart from writing their “Silly Poem”, it was also recited, recorded, collated, and made into a video!

Being a Responsible Pet Owner - A Poem by K1 children of Carpe Diem Schoolhouse at Toa Payoh

We all hope that COVID-19 would end soon so we can all visit an Animal Shelter and adopt a pet which we can be responsible of! =)
