It is important to teach how to be safe and how to respond when emergencies happen. Learning basic first aid skills will empower children to help themselves, and maybe help others too. Knowing that each child is well equipped to handle an emergency can offer a certain sense of relief. Plus, these are basic life skills and survival skills that every person should know.
